Can you help with a PhD Research Project about Parents’ perceptions of and engagement with their daughters’ combat sport participation.
What is the purpose of the study?
This research is being conducted with parents and coaches to help understand young girls’ experiences in combat sports settings. The project aims to find out how parents perceive their daughter’s participation and what parents do to facilitate it. This is done in the hope that the data will be useful to inform practitioners and organisations working with parents in combat sports.
Who is organising the research?
The research is conducted as part of a PhD in Sport and Exercise Science within the Department of Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Chester. The study is organised with supervision from the department, by Bradley Spurdens, a PhD student.
