Taekwondo Technical Officials
Being a volunteer technical official at competitions is a rewarding way to get involved in the combat sport or stay involved if you are a retiring athlete.
There are plenty of opportunities for participation at the multitude of local competitions and personal progression opportunities from judge, to centre referee, all the way up to international referee at World level.
You also get to join the close family and social network of fellow officials in our sport.
The core values of the British Taekwondo Sport Referee Department are based on the tenets of traditional Taekwondo:
- Etiquette – Always polite and a role model to others.
- Modesty – Never seeking the spotlight.
- Perseverance – Always seeking to remove human error.
- Self Control – Maintaining a personal respect for all.
- Indomitable Spirit – Being the pillars of fair play.
But above all, we value the health & safety of every athlete.
