About the British Taekwondo team
The British Taekwondo team works to grow and develop Taekwondo across Great Britain, supporting our members, clubs and volunteers while delivering high-quality services, events, education and development opportunities.
Our staff team includes specialists in national development, disability development, membership services, safeguarding and compliance, marketing and communications, finance, events and education. Their work is supported by a dedicated team of Community Officers who work closely with clubs and members across the country.

Dave joined British Taekwondo in December 2025, and brings with him more than 25 years of leadership experience across the sport and leisure sector, with a proven record of driving organisational growth, reform, and community engagement.
Need advice or support? Sarah Howard, Head of Safeguarding & Compliance and Data Protection Officer, is the dedicated point of contact for safeguarding, wellbeing and data protection matters, providing advice, support and guidance to members, clubs and stakeholders.
Matt is responsible for delivering the major international Taekwondo events hosted in the UK, and the development and delivery of British Taekwondo’s events strategy.
Dafydd leads the development and growth of Taekwondo across Great Britain, supporting clubs, coaches and members to create accessible, inclusive and thriving opportunities to participate in the sport.
Karen is responsible for all Finance related queries across the business.
John leads on education, coach development and the technical direction of Taekwondo within British Taekwondo, ensuring members, clubs and coaches have access to high-quality learning opportunities, qualifications and technical guidance.
Vicki leads on membership services and member insights, helping to enhance the experience of clubs and members across British Taekwondo. She also serves as Deputy Safeguarding Officer, providing safeguarding support, advice and guidance, and helping to foster a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone involved in the sport.
Sophie looks after Taekwondo development projects in Manchester and the surrounding areas and currently leads on British Taekwondo’s communication work.

Keira is responsible for promoting inclusivity and ensuring equal access to taekwondo for individuals with disabilities and SEN.
Richard provides support and guidance for all the technical departments associated with British Taekwondo.
