Sit down with Sarah – Rebecca McGowan and Bradly Sinden talk all things Taekwondo
British Taekwondo President, Sarah Stevenson Jennings sat down with Team GB athletes Rebecca McGowan and Bradly Sinden to learn more about their journey through Taekwondo and how they are feeling ahead of competing in Paris this summer.
Bradly (25) will be competing in his second Olympic Games on Thursday 8th August in the -68kg category, with the aim of adding to his Olympic medal collection (silver medal at the Tokyo 2020 Games). Doncaster born Brad started Taekwondo at a young age and progressed through the British Taekwondo pathway, becoming National Champion four times (PeeWee 2009, Cadet 2012, Junior and Senior 2012) before joining GB Taekwondo full time as an elite athlete.
Rebecca (24) will be travelling to Paris to compete in her first Olympic Games and will be in action on Saturday 10th August in the +67kg category. Scotland born Rebecca started Taekwondo at the age of 5 and continued her progression through the ranks, winning the British Taekwondo National Championships in both 2009 and 2010 (PeeWee) before being called up to the elite programme by GB Taekwondo a few years later.
