Details of a recent new appointment to British Taekwondo’s Poomsae Referee Department.
Master Bilal Naqshbandi has been appointed as Operations Manager for the Poomsae Referee Department.
British Taekwondo’s Poomsae Referee Department is thrilled to announce that Master Bilal has been appointed as Operations Manager for the department.
Master Bilal said “I’m delighted to have been appointed as Operations Manager, joining the Poomsae Referee Department. I look forward to working with everyone and in developing our Poomsae National Referee programme.”
Speaking about his career in Taekwondo Master Bilal said “Taekwondo journey began in 1984, after practising Judo and Karate for a number of years. Training three nights per week I obtained my first Dan in 1988. Benefitting from the teaching and attention of my coaches, Masters and Grand Masters showed me another way of life, which promoted respect, discipline and courtesy. Having worked hard over the intervening years to learn and practise within the national referee system and competing at Poomsae competitions has facilitated my promotion to a Poomsae International Referee. The passion to referee and be a part of British Taekwondo in becoming a national poomsae course tutor has further been rewarded by being appointed as Operations Manager within the Poomsae Referee Department. I am delighted to have yet another opportunity to repay the years of development that Taekwondo has given me and look forward to proving myself and working with everyone at British Taekwondo.”
