Day Two Report Poomsae

British Taekwondo are recruiting new members of the Poomsae Championships Advisory Group (PCAG) for 2026, designed to support the planning and delivery of a high-quality National Poomsae Championships later this year.

This group will consist of up to five members drawn from within the British Taekwondo community and will offer expert advice to help shape the event from multiple perspectives – including athletes, coaches, referees, and organisers.

The PCAG played a key role in providing expert insights ahead of the 2025 British Taekwondo National Poomsae Championships, and following on from that success, we are once again looking for forward-thinking, passionate members of the Poomsae Community to work with us, to create a high-standard event at David Ross Sports Village in Nottingham on November 7-8 this year.

The Advisory Group will have 8-10 meetings during the appointment period. Including preparation time this is likely to be a commitment of approximately 3-5 days.  This will be to offer strategic advice to the Head of Events and help shape a national event that represents best practice and supports the ongoing growth of Poomsae in the UK.

If you are passionate about Poomsae and believe you can contribute valuable knowledge and experience, we encourage you to apply by Friday 27th February 2026, with appointments communicated by Friday 06th March 2026

Who We're Looking For

We welcome applications from British Taekwondo members who have extensive experience in Poomsae competition – as athletes, coaches, referees, or organisers – as well as understanding the operational aspects of national-level events, from logistics to scoring systems.

Group members must be committed to promoting inclusive and athlete-focused event delivery, as well as bringing energy, collaboration, and constructive challenge to advisory work.

We aim to create a balanced group that reflects a wide range of perspectives and expertise.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted via our online form, where you will be asked to provide a short personal statement and summary of your relevant experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a major event in the British Taekwondo calendar. If you care about the future of Poomsae and have the experience to back it up, we want to hear from you.

If you require support to complete your application or would like an informal discussion about the role, please contact us at: events@britishtaekwondo.org
