We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting the 2025 End of Year Awards once again this year, with the celebration of our British Taekwondo community being staged on Saturday 22nd November at the Lowry, Salford.
The recognition of the athletes, coaches, clubs, volunteers, and officials who make Taekwondo so special is one of the showcase events of the year. These awards recognise the outstanding achievements, dedication, and spirit shown across the Taekwondo community over the past 12 months, shining a spotlight on those who have gone above and beyond both on and off the mats.
We are excited to say that nominations for the 2025 awards are now open, and British Taekwondo members can nominate candidates for six award categories using this form. A further two awards, the Athlete of the Year Award and the President’s Award, will be specially presented by the British Taekwondo Performance Departments and British Taekwondo President Sarah Stevenson Jennings MBE OLY respectively.
These awards will provide an opportunity for recognition across all British Taekwondo members, and give our community the chance to acknowledge the outstanding work done across our clubs.
Each award category will be assessed in the same way: how the nominee has acted in ways that align with the five core values of British Taekwondo.
Some awards will have natural synergies with specific values, but every value is applicable to every award. The British Taekwondo values are:
Integrity: We will be transparent and inclusive, behaving ethically, nurturing trust and reinforcing the tenets of Taekwondo.
Excellence: We will empower our clubs and coaches, working together to deliver excellence across what we do.
Unity: We will be member-focussed, encouraging collaboration and inclusivity across the entire Taekwondo community.
Inspiration: We will offer innovative products and services, inspiring our members to be the best that they can be.
People: We will value our people, acknowledging contributions, empowering them and investing in their growth as leaders.
