Details of British Taekwondo event sanctioning for 2025.
The event sanction application period for 2025 will open at midday on Monday 16th September 2024 and close at midday on Monday 21st October 2024. This sanction window is for Sport Taekwondo and Poomsae events.
The sanction window allows event hosts to submit a sanction request to British Taekwondo for consideration in the 2025 event calendar.
All sanction requests received during this period will be considered in line with the updated 2024 Event Sanction Policy. British Taekwondo will notify successful applicants before publishing the official 2025 event calendar.
If there are any dates in 2025 that remain available after the event of the sanction period British Taekwondo may, in consultation with the Referee Departments, permit additional sanction requests.
Sport Event Sanctioning
The Sport Event Sanction Policy for 2025 is largely the same as the 2024 version. Click the link above to view the sanctioning policy
The key change to note is:
- Discontinuation of the event weekend membership for participants who are not members of British Taekwondo. This item has been removed due to extremely low uptake in 2024.
To apply for a Kyorugi event sanction in 2024, prospective hosts must submit the online application form. The form will be available on this page from Monday 16 September 2024 to Monday 21st October 2024.
Poomsae Event Sanctioning
British Taekwondo is working with the Poomsae Referee Department to develop a provisional Poomsae Event Sanctioning Policy. However, this will not come into effect for the 2025 event calendar.
To apply for a Poomsae event sanction in 2024, prospective hosts must submit the online application form. The form will be available on this page from Monday 16 September 2024 to Monday 21st October 2024.
