British Taekwondo is proud to celebrate the extraordinary achievement of Tom Stammer, who has just been promoted to 8th Dan!
Having celebrated 50 years of dedication to our Martial Art earlier this year, Grandmaster Stammer decided to mark his half-century of dedication by travelling to Kukkiwon in Seoul, Korea to sit his 8th Dan at the International High Dan Promotion Test, with confirmation of his success coming this week.
After starting his Taekwondo journey in 1976 under the late Master Richard Pallister, Tom has been a prominent member of the British Taekwondo community who regularly officiates at home and across the world in his role as an S Class World Taekwondo International Referee.
Having been put through his paces by fellow Koryo Taekwondo coach Grandmaster Harry Wake in the build up, Tom was one of four candidates to perform back in April, with his extensive preparation paying off when news came through of his success in July.
We would like to offer our huge congratulations to Grandmaster Stammer on his incredible achievement, and a lifetime dedicated to Taekwondo!
