Membership & Communications blog – February 2024.

We hope you’ve had a great start to 2024.
Last year was an excellent year for British Taekwondo – topped off with British Taekwondo being honoured as the World Taekwondo Member National Association (MNA) of the Year for 2023. This is something everyone throughout British Taekwondo should be incredibly proud of.

- Vicki joined as Membership Services Officer in January this year.
- Conor is Insights & Communications Officer and also joined the team in January 2024.
Your stories
It’s been brilliant to hear from a range of members who have shared their Taekwondo stories and successes over the last two years.
We really enjoy hearing about and sharing stories about why Taekwondo is the activity for you.
Some of the recent stories include a report from the Phoenix Taekwondo 2023 Winter Dan Grading, Harrogate KTA’s international Movement of Poomsae Seminar with Grand Master Ik Pil Kang, and a feature on Central Taekwondo Academy’s 30th anniversary.
It’ll be excellent to continue this, and we look forward to receiving regular contributions from across our membership.

Communications tip for clubs
You may be aware of an online tool called Linktree.
If you’re not, it’s a free-to-use landing page where you can gather all of the associated to your club in one place. It’s particularly handy for adding to your Instagram profile if you have one as links can’t easily be shared in Instagram posts.
Some clubs without a website could also use it as an initial online presence and link to pages, posts, blogs, and accounts where people can find out more about your club.
The other nice thing about Linktree is that you can brand the page to really make it your own with logos, colour schemes, and thumbnail images on links.
You can find British Taekwondo on social media including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
If you or your club are on these platforms please do like and share our content, and please tag the British Taekwondo accounts so we can like and share your updates too.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Richard, Vicki & Conor
