We are excited to announce two key events in the Taekwondo calendar coming up in 2026, with the British Taekwondo National Dan Grading and the UK Kukkiwon Office High Dan Promotion Test both scheduled for Sunday 29th March at the National Taekwondo Centre, Manchester.
National Dan Grading
The National Dan Grading will be staged earlier in the day, which will provide candidates with the opportunity to test for their 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Dan grades in front of an expert panel of Kukkiwon-ranked Grand Masters – all 8th Dan and above – drawn from across the British Taekwondo family.
The National Dan Grading represents the pinnacle of achievement for many British Taekwondo members, providing a pathway for athletes to demonstrate their technical skill, discipline, and commitment to the art. Hosted at the home of GB Taekwondo, it promises to be a day of achievement and pride for everyone stepping forward for their next milestone.

Closing Date
The closing date for applications is midday on Wednesday 18th March 2026.
Payment must be received by midday on Wednesday 25th March 2026
UK Kukkiwon Office – High Dan Promotion Test
Later in the day, and also at the National Taekwondo Centre in Manchester, the UK Kukkiwon Office will host a High Dan Promotion Test, providing the opportunity for candidates testing for 5th, 6th and 7th Dan to take part in an official Kukkiwon-recognised promotion test.

All applications should be made using this online form on the UK Kukkiwon Office website
Applications can be submitted directly by candidates, or by instructors on behalf of the candidate.
Closing Date
The closing date for applications is by midday on Sunday 22nd March 2026.
