National Danish Poomsae Championship 2025 1

The 2025 Danish National Poomsae Championships had an extra spark this year thanks to the fantastic contribution of two of our own Class 1 Poomsae National Referees, Maryam Hosseini and Ramzia Hamidi. Both stepped in to support the Danish federation with the kind of energy, professionalism, and positivity that UK referees have become known for.

Maryam and Ramzia brought their A-game to every division they judged. They handled all the high-pressure moments with calm confidence, always keeping the focus on fairness and making sure the best athletes came out on top. Their consistency, fairness and knowledge really showcased what UK referees stand for.

Thanks to the Danish Referee Chair, Master Jesper Pedersen, whose support played a huge part in making their participation possible. Jesper’s dedication behind the scenes and his ongoing commitment to working closely with the UK referees makes a real difference. We’re genuinely grateful for the strong collaboration between the Danish and UK Poomsae referee departments.

Seeing Maryam and Ramzia represent the UK so well on an international stage is always inspiring. Moments like this remind us how strong, passionate, and dedicated our refereeing community truly is.

Whether at home or abroad, UK referees consistently show up with professionalism, fairness, efficiency, and a real love for the sport, traits that leave a lasting impression wherever they go. It’s also great to see the British Taekwondo referee pathway in action and producing such capable officials.

A massive well done to both Maryam and Ramzia for their brilliant work in Denmark. We’re excited to see where our referees make an impact next!
