Poomsae European Championship British Taekwondo

British Taekwondo are pleased to announce the Great Britain National Poomsae squad selected for the upcoming European Poomsae & Para Poomsae Championships, which will take place at the Unibet Arena, Tallinn, Estonia 16-17th April.

The event will be the 17th hosting of the competition, while it marks the second European Para Poomsae Championships, after a successful debut event in Innsbruck, Austria in 2023.

The British team thrived in the previous hosting of the event, with an eleven-medal haul highlighting their strength in depth across the board, with two golds, four silver and five bronzes across the competition.

That performance saw the Great Britain squad record their finest ever performance at the event, and achieve an overall position as the fourth best team in Europe, with hopes of repeating that success this time around.

There was also success in the inaugural Para Poomsae Championship, with three golds, two silvers and a bronze helping Great Britain rank in third place overall,

Zaw Torley was among the medallists back in 2023, as he made history by becoming the first ever British European Champion in the Individual U17 Male event, and will be back competing in the O17 Freestyle in Tallinn.

Para Poomsae athletes Bradley Brockies and Summer Waheed will also be back in action next week, with the pair claiming gold in the Male and Female Senior 1 P21 division respectively.

With teams travelling from all across the continent, the two days of competition will be a huge celebration of inclusion, excellence and martial arts tradition, with plenty of hope of repeating the success of previous years.

A team of 55 athletes, coaches and support team members from 21 British Taekwondo clubs will be represented in the 2025 European Poomsae & Para Poomsae Taekwondo Championship, with athletes named below.
