Did you know that you can continue your World Taekwondo development and progression in the British Army?

British Army Taekwondo is affiliated to British Taekwondo and offer free training to Regulars, Reserves, University Officer Training Cadets, Military Guard Service, Military Provost Guard Service and Full Time Reserve Service.

British Army Taekwondo trains at the home of Army Sport in Aldershot and have Taekwondo clubs in other military venues. British Army Taekwondo follows the British Taekwondo syllabus and offer gradings through its link up with Wessex Taekwondo. They also undertake British Taekwondo officials and coaching courses and currently have 12 instructors on the Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Taekwondo course.

British Army Taekwondo delivers two 5-day courses per year which includes Kyorugi, Poomsae, Self-Defence and general Taekwondo development, and yes this is also free.

They also enter military, national and international competitions, with the last overseas adventure in Finland at the European Masters’ Games seeing the team achieve 5 Golds, 3 Silvers and 4 Bronze medals). Investing in people, British Army Taekwondo also pays for travel to competitions and entry fees.

This selection of photos are from this years action and include the June 2024 Inter Service Competition against the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy/Marines which saw Team Army victorious. This was fully supported by the team of friendly British Taekwondo officials.
