Tuesday 10th October is World Mental Health Day.
The purpose of the day is to address and shine light on mental health issues and what can be done to get more people to talk about their mental health.
Mental health should be regarded in the same way we view physical health, in that it’s crucial if we want a better quality of life.
Nobody feels great every day and in future, we hope to be in a society where the stigma involved with mental health disappears and is accepted as the norm.
The tenets of Taekwondo have great emphasis on self control, spirit and perseverance.
Taekwondo, like many sports is a great starting point for building self esteem and working as a team to help others.
World Mental Health Day is a day for us all to reflect on mindfulness and to remember that sometimes it’s ok to not feel ok.
Visit our mental health web page for further information throughout the year.
