Grand Master David Bailey recently returned from the Gangwon·Chuncheon World Taekwondo Cultural Festival in Korea.

As part of his role as an International Referee (IR) David was selected to referee the Team Demonstration Performance & Freestyle Finals.

David said “The Freestyle final was the highlight of the event for me. It was absolutely amazing. I have never seen Taekwondo performed like that before! The winning performance was like something from a Jason Bourne movie!”

David was presented with a best referee certificate by the World Taekwondo President Chungwon Choue.

David added “Overall the Gangwon·Chuncheon World Taekwondo Cultural Festival was a great experience. Following the event I visited Seoul for a couple of days, and made a Kukkiwon visit too.”

The Gangwon·Chuncheon World Taekwondo Cultural Festival was held from the 18th to the 20th August. The festival featured 15,000 athletes, officials and tourists from around 60 nations taking part across four premier events celebrating the best of Taekwondo.
