British Taekwondo is pleased to highlight the participation of Master Kambiz Ramzan Ali MBE at the Skopje Open Ramus 2026, an event that underscored the continued growth and competitive strength of G1‑ranked Taekwondo tournaments across North Macedonia.
The tournament, part of the expanding Ramus Taekwondo event series, served as a valuable international ranking opportunity, attracting athletes seeking to secure World Taekwondo ranking points. Participation numbers and overall technical standards reflected the event’s increasing relevance within the European taekwondo calendar, particularly in poomsae, a discipline that has demonstrated sustained development and investment throughout recent seasons.
A defining feature of the 2026 edition was the strong presence of European Poomsae International Referees, reinforcing the event’s emphasis on technical precision and judging consistency. Their involvement contributed to a high‑quality refereeing environment aligned with World Taekwondo standards.
The competition was led by Dr Nouri Shirali, who served as Technical Delegate and Chief Referee. An internationally respected authority in taekwondo officiating, Dr Shirali oversaw overall competition management, regulatory compliance, and coordination of refereeing teams, ensuring consistent application of standards across both poomsae and kyorugi divisions.
Athletes, coaches and officials participated in a well‑structured environment designed to meet the requirements of an accredited G‑ranked international event. The feedback from participating delegations reflected positively on the organisation, atmosphere, and competitive opportunities available in Skopje.
The 2026 event further confirmed the Skopje Open Ramus as a key fixture on the international taekwondo calendar, highlighting both organisational maturity and the strengthened prominence of poomsae alongside kyorugi at the G1 level.
