UK International Poomsae Referees proudly attended the 11° Open Poomsae TCSAC 2025 held in Lisbon over the weekend, with the event in Portugal organised by Grandmaster Paulo Martins.
Damien Duffy, Bilal Naqshbandi and Carolina Barros Clark were among those officiating in the Portuguese capital, as well as 2025 British Taekwondo National Poomsae Championships Chief Referee Kambiz R. Ali.
Thomas McGuinness, Laura Burns and Gillian Waite were also among the nine-strong team that appeared on the continent, as well as Xin Lee and Aaron Leith.
While in the country, the referee team also held productive meetings with Grandmaster Armando Hilário [pictured below], focused on potential support and collaboration for the upcoming 3rd Nazaré Beach Open Poomsae 2026, an exciting international event that continues to grow in prestige and participation.
Our Poomsae Community continues to blossom, both at home and across the World, and we hope our distinguished group of officials can help to contribute to the success of this unique championship and further strengthen ties across Europe.
With just days to go until the British Taekwondo National Poomsae Championships, our team of officials continue to prove their excellence, well done to all our UK referees for their professionalism and dedication in representing our nation at this international event.
