The stage is set for the 2025 National Poomsae Championships, with over 500 athletes from more than 75 clubs ready to compete at David Ross Sports Village, Nottingham, on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd November 2025.
This flagship event will bring our Poomsae Community together under one roof for two days of high-quality action, showcasing the artistry, precision, and discipline that define Poomsae competition. From international medal winners to first-time competitors, the Championships will celebrate the full spectrum of Taekwondo skill and dedication.
Over two dynamic days of competition, spectators can expect world-class performances, inspiring displays, and unforgettable moments as athletes compete for the honour of being crowned National Champion.
With Freestyle, Para and Family competitions all set to be staged across the weekend, the event serves as an important platform for the Poomsae community to thrive. It also offers rising stars the opportunity to test themselves against the best in the country and take the next step on their Taekwondo journey, whether that be towards international selection or personal excellence.
“The National Poomsae Championships are a celebration that brings our Poomsae community together, and showcases the incredible skill, dedication, and spirit that make our Martial Art so special,” said British Taekwondo CEO, Ian Leafe.
“With athletes from every corner of the country taking part, this year’s Championships promises to be a demonstration of how inspirational our community is.”
A number of the GB squad that travelled to Tallinn for the 2025 European Poomsae Championships will be present in Nottingham this weekend, with the team winning 19 medals as well as earning the European Para Poomsae Team Trophy in Estonia back in April.
With top-level performances and a community united in passion and respect, the 2025 National Poomsae Championships will once again highlight the excellence and energy of the Poomsae Community.
