The Scottish Open Taekwondo Championships made its return in 2023!
An update from the 2023 Scottish Open Taekwondo Championships.
Harrogate KTA, Momentum Taekwondo and Vision Taekwondo hosted the 2023 Scottish Open Taekwondo Championships over the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd September.
The two-day event took place at Ravenscraig Sports Facility in Motherwell and made its long awaited return after a four year break since it was last held in 2019. The event included both Poomsae (Day 1) and Kyorugi (Day 2) and welcomed competitors from overseas, including World Poomsae and European champion Eva Sanderson from Denmark.
Both days of the event were sponsored by Range Sports and Jcalicu UK.
The event’s organisers – Master Kambiz R Ali, Master Atief Arshad, and Masters Craig Eden & Ross Eden – were delighted that the event was well received and a success.
The 2023 Scottish Open Taekwondo Championships was a Gold level British Taekwondo sanctioned event.
Day 1’s Scottish Open Poomsae Championships saw 168 individuals, 25 pairs, 13 teams, 2 freestyle athletes, and 12 para-poomsae competitors in action.
Day 2’s Scottish Open Taekwondo Championships saw 219 athletes compete.

All good, this level 2 course does it replace the one I did a few years ago with British Taekwondo or is it completely new?
