Congratulations to the GB Athletes and Officials who took part in the European Games in Poland.

Among the medal winners from GB were Maddison Moore who won bronze, Jade Jones who won gold by successfully defending her title, Bradly Sinden who secured silver, Aaliyah Powell who brought home bronze, and Caden Cunningham who struck gold.

British Taekwondo’s Vice President Usman Dildar was appointed at Technical Delegate for Taekwondo at the Games.

British Taekwondo referee, and chair of the Sport Referee Department, played a part in the event as a referee at the Games and was awarded the Best Referee title at the event.

Ian Leafe, Chief Executive Officer of British Taekwondo said “It was wonderful to see British Taekwondo and GB well represented on the European Games stage. Congratulations to all of our athletes in the competition and well done to the medal winners. Congratulations also go to Usman Dildar and Paul Timms for their excellent efforts which were duly recognised at the European Games.”

The 2023 European Games were held in Krakow and Malopolska from 21st June to 2nd July.

177 athletes represented Team GB across 18 Olympic disciplines at the European Games.

The third edition of the European Games saw around 7,000 athletes from 48 European nations compete across a 12-day sporting programme.

The Taekwondo competition was held at the Krynica-Zdrój Arena with GB athletes in action from Friday 23rd June to Monday 26th June.
