British Taekwondo is delighted to announce the addition of the Scottish Open to our Club Events Calendar later this year, with the competition set to provide athletes across Scotland the opportunity to compete on home soil.
The Scottish Open will celebrate both the Poomsae and Kyorugi sides of our Martial Art, with the Kyorugi Championships taking place on Sunday 29th November, while the Poomsae event will be on Sunday 6th December, with both events set to be staged at Grangemouth Sports Complex, Abbots Road, Grangemouth, FK3 8JB.
Atief Arshad of Momentum Taekwondo will serve as Event Director for the Kyorugi event, while the Poomsae event will be led by Master Kambiz R. Ali MBE, who is also Chief Referee of the 2026 British Taekwondo National Poomsae Championships.
The Scottish Open represents an exciting opportunity to bring competition opportunities closer to athletes, while showcasing the strength and ambition of the Scottish Taekwondo community, and we look forward to its succesful hosting later this year.
