British Taekwondo is delighted to announce the appointment of Master Kambiz R Ali as Chief Referee for the 2025 British National Poomsae Championships, set to be staged at the David Ross Sports Village, Nottingham on 1st-2nd November.
We are pleased to have Master Kambiz leading our officiating team for our National Poomsae Championships this year, and are confident his experience domestically and internationally will contribute to an outstanding event across the board.
With over 30 years in the sport, Harrogate KTA founder Master Kambiz currently holds a 7th Dan Kukkiwon Black Belt, 2nd Class Kukkiwon International Taekwondo Master, and 2nd Class Kukkiwon Dan Examiner qualifications. He has also been a regular competitor at the British Taekwondo National Poomsae Championships during his Taekwondo journey.
An International Poomsae Referee since 2022, Master Kambiz has officiated at Tournaments across Europe over the past three years, as well as the 2023 & 2025 European Poomsae Championships, and we welcome his appointment ahead of the National Championships.
Speaking about his appointment, Master Ali said: "It is a great honour to be appointed as Chief Referee for such a prestigious British Taekwondo event. I look forward to working with the Organising Committee and our dedicated referee team to deliver a fair and high-quality competition.
"I am confident we will have a successful National Poomsae Championship in Great Britain."
