British Taekwondo is looking for enthusiastic, proactive volunteers to become part of the new Equity, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

The committee ensures that the highest standards are being implemented and maintained across the organisation, and plays an important part in discussing topics and areas of focus and development.

There will be four meetings a year for committee members, with three online, and one in person in Manchester, where key topics will be discussed, and any actions decided upon.

The positions are open to anyone, whether you are a British Taekwondo member or not. So that means athletes, coaches, board members, or anyone who has a background and passion in the area.

British Taekwondo Disability Officer Keira Forsythe said: “The EEDI Committee is about building a culture where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

“Whether you’re a coach, athlete, parent, or supporter, your voice matters. I truly believe this is where lasting change happens, and I’d encourage anyone passionate about inclusion and fairness to get involved.

“Together, we can continue to make Taekwondo a space where everyone belongs.”

Taekwondo is accessible to everyone and anyone, and we want to keep it that way going forward, with everyone at British Taekwondo responsible for being aware and proactive regarding EEDI in sessions, clubs and competitions.

You have until the 22nd June to register your interest in joining the EEDI committee, and you can do so by contacting Keira at disability@britishtaekwondo.org
