UPDATED 15th July 2021

British Taekwondo is continually monitoring the COVID-19 situation and aim to provide the most up to date guidance and resources for our members, to help keep everyone safe.

We are working in partnership with DCMS, Sport England and other Sports Governing Bodies to develop guidance and documentation that will help our members understand the situation for sport and to assist them with a gradual safe return to activity.

Below you will find all the latest advice and guidance documents by British Taekwondo on the current COVID-19 situation:

Please note that any return to training advice depends on the national or local lockdown situation at the time and crucially, legislation and guidance does differ in each Home Nation so its important to be aware of the rules for your area.

The documents and guidance below are based on rules for England and the DCMS approved framework for Taekwondo. Clubs in Scotland, Northern Ireland & Wales should check for additional information and any differences.

COVID GUIDANCE 19th July 2021

As pandemic restrictions ease across the Home Nations, we want to give our members, clubs and event hosts as much information and guidance as possible.

Whilst this is a little complicated by the fact that each Home Nation is moving at a slightly different pace in terms of relaxation of rules, generally we are returning to a situation where all forms of sport, physical activity and events will be permitted in the coming weeks.

A lot of the restrictions are changing from law, where you could previously have been fined for breaching the rules, into a more advice and guidance-based position where governments are recommending people behave in a certain way.

In the table below, we have set out how this guidance could be applied in Taekwondo club and Taekwondo event settings in England, should coaches, venues or event hosts choose to continue applying some Covid security measures.

However, we must stress, these are for individual clubs, venues and event hosts to decide whether to implement.
