The final day of preparation for the World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships took the Great Britain Poomsae Team from Chuncheon to Seoul, where the athletes had the opportunity to train at one of the most significant places in the world of Taekwondo.
The team was invited to Kukkiwon, where our 34 athletes trained alongside the Kukkiwon Demonstration Team, providing a unique opportunity to experience their training first-hand at the home of Taekwondo.

Our team were received by Kukkiwon President GM Yun Ung-suk, with British Taekwondo CEO Dave Marshall and British Taekwondo Vice President Master Usman Dildar joining the party for this amazing experience.

For our athletes, standing on the Kukkiwon floor and training alongside the Demonstration Team offered a powerful connection to the traditions and heritage of the art they have dedicated themselves to, and a once in a lifetime experience they will remember forever.
