British Taekwondo is delighted to be launching a series of free webinars to support our clubs and instructors, helping them develop, grow and continue providing the very best experience for their members.

We understand that running a successful Taekwondo club involves much more than delivering great training sessions. Whether it’s navigating governance and safeguarding requirements, growing membership, or understanding the latest guidance and best practice, club volunteers and instructors dedicate countless hours behind the scenes to ensure their clubs thrive.

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting affiliated clubs, these webinars have been designed to provide practical advice, expert guidance and an opportunity to engage directly with specialists in their respective fields. Each session will focus on a key aspect of club development, giving attendees the chance to ask questions, share experiences and leave with valuable knowledge that can be applied within their own club.

By investing in our clubs, we’re investing in the future of British Taekwondo. We want every club to feel supported, empowered and equipped with the tools they need to provide safe, welcoming and sustainable environments where members of all ages and abilities can flourish.

Below, you’ll find details of our upcoming webinars and information on how to register. We encourage all affiliated clubs and instructors to take advantage of these free learning opportunities and join us online.

Funding Toolkit Webinar | Building Strong Foundations for Future Funding Success

Sunday 23rd August 2026 | 6pm – 7:30pm

The first webinar in the series is a free Funding Toolkit Webinar, delivered in partnership with Kudos Sports Services. This webinar is designed to help clubs become funding-ready and build the foundations needed to access future investment opportunities.

As a National Governing Body committed to supporting the growth and sustainability of our clubs, we recognise that securing funding can play a vital role in accessing and developing facilities, increasing participation, improving equipment, and creating new opportunities for members. However, before applying for funding, it is essential that clubs have the right foundations in place.

This interactive webinar will guide club volunteers through the new British Taekwondo/ Kudos Sport Services Funding Toolkit, providing practical support and resources to help clubs assess their current position, strengthen their governance, and prepare for future funding applications.

What Will Be Covered?

The session will provide an overview of the British Taekwondo Funding Toolkit, including the:

  • Club Readiness Survey
  • Financial Planner
  • Club Constitution Template
  • Project Development Documents

You’ll leave with a clear understanding of how each resource can help your club become more sustainable and funding-ready.

The main focus of the webinar will be the Club Readiness Survey.

This simple but valuable self-assessment will help your club understand where it currently sits across key areas of governance, finance, planning and development, while identifying practical actions to strengthen your club moving forward.

The information gathered will also help British Taekwondo better understand the needs of clubs across the country, enabling us to develop future support, resources and opportunities that are tailored to our community.

Preparing Your Club for Future Funding Opportunities

Successful funding applications start long before an application form is completed.

During this webinar, you’ll learn why having the right policies, financial planning and project ideas in place can significantly improve your chances of securing investment when funding becomes available.

Whether you’re completely new to funding or have applied before, this session will provide practical steps to ensure your club is ready for future opportunities.

This webinar is the first step in our 3-part Funding Support Series.

Following this session, we will be hosting a second webinar in September, where we will explore the different funding opportunities available to British Taekwondo clubs, including where to find funding, what funders are looking for, and practical guidance on preparing strong funding applications.

The session will also highlight an important principle of sustainable club development: well-run clubs should be able to meet their day-to-day financial commitments through their existing income streams, such as membership fees and regular club activity. External funding should be viewed as an opportunity to expand, grow and enhance your club, rather than support its core operating costs.

Attending this first webinar will ensure your club is in the best possible position to take advantage of those opportunities.

We’ll cover the areas that clubs use most regularly, helping you feel more confident managing your club through the platform.

Working Smarter, Not Harder

Discover practical tips and time-saving features that can make managing your club quicker and easier.

We’ll demonstrate how to complete common tasks efficiently, including managing memberships, processing renewals, updating member information, checking licence statuses and navigating your club dashboard.

The aim is to help reduce administration, allowing you to spend more time focusing on your members and less time managing paperwork.

Neurodiversity in Sport | Creating Inclusive Taekwondo Environments Where Every Member Can Thrive

Sunday 29th November 2026 | 11.00am – 2.00pm

We are also delighted to invite you to a free Neurodiversity in Sport Seminar later this year, designed to help clubs better understand, support, and empower neurodivergent participants within our Taekwondo community.

As a National Governing Body committed to making Taekwondo accessible, inclusive, and welcoming for all, we recognise the importance of ensuring that every athlete has the opportunity to enjoy and succeed in our Martial Art.

This interactive seminar – presented by Neurodiverse Sport – will provide British Taekwondo Instructors and Welfare Officers with a deeper understanding of neurodiversity in a sporting context, practical strategies for supporting neurodivergent athletes, and real-world examples of how small adjustments can create meaningful improvements in participation, wellbeing, and performance.

What Will Be Covered?

Understanding Neurodiversity in Sport

We will explore what neurodiversity means and why it is important within sport and physical activity, helping attendees develop a shared understanding and language around difference, disability, and inclusion.

We will examine how many sporting systems and coaching environments are often unintentionally ‘designed for the middle’, and how a shift from a “fix the person” mindset to a “fix the mismatch” approach can help create more positive experiences for all participants.

Recognising and Supporting Neurodivergent Athletes

Gain insight into common neurodivergent traits and how they may present within a Taekwondo environment.

Rather than focusing solely on diagnoses or labels, the session will explore the diversity of individual experiences and the overlap that can exist between different traits, including sensory sensitivities, communication preferences, emotional regulation, and executive functioning differences.

Using practical frameworks, participants will learn how to better understand what may sit beneath behaviours they observe in training sessions and competitions.

Practical Coaching Solutions and Real-Life Examples

This area will focus on practical approaches that coaches and welfare officers can implement immediately within their clubs.

Topics will include creating neuroinclusive coaching environments, adapting communication styles, developing supportive routines, reducing unnecessary sensory overload, and designing sessions that enable all athletes to engage confidently.

Attendees will also hear examples drawn from lived experience and explore how neuroinclusive approaches can improve both participation and performance across the entire club environment.

Interactive Q&A

Throughout the seminar there will be opportunities to ask questions, share experiences, and discuss challenges faced within clubs. This is your chance to be part of the conversation regarding accessibility in British Taekwondo, and we want you to leave the session with practical ideas and increased confidence to support your members.

Taekwondo has the power to change lives, but only when every individual feels welcomed, valued, and understood.

This seminar is an opportunity for instructors and welfare officers to further develop their knowledge, strengthen their inclusive coaching practice, and help ensure that British Taekwondo clubs remain safe, supportive, and inspiring environments for everyone.

Together, we can continue building a Taekwondo community where every member has the opportunity to belong, develop, and achieve their potential.
