Usman Dildar 1

Following a detailed process of open recruitment, application, shortlisting and interviews with the most qualified candidates, British Taekwondo is delighted to announce that Usman Dildar is joining our board as a Non-Executive Director.

Usman brings a wealth of Taekwondo knowledge and experience to our board, as a founding leader of the LTA group of clubs in London, with the depth of knowledge of the club landscape over decades that comes with that –  alongside an unmatched level of international experience and connections, working with World Taekwondo on various projects, including the recent 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.

Usman is currently the chair of World Taekwondo’s Para Taekwondo Committee and also works closely with the European Taekwondo Union on technical matters and education for our continental body.

Usman has been acting Vice President of British Taekwondo for a number of years in this ceremonial role, but now joins the executive board team more formally, to help steer the direction of our National Governing Body and support for our family of clubs in the years ahead.

A more detailed story and introduction to our newest board member will follow soon.

In the meantime, we thank everyone involved in this process and all the candidates that applied.
