A report from the recent British Taekwondo National Poomsae Referee and Refresher Course.

The British Taekwondo National Poomsae Referee Course and Refresher Course recently took place at Gorton Evangelical Church in Manchester. Master Bilal Naqshbandi, an International Referee with several years of experience, led the course.

Among the attendees were:

• 3 applicants for Class 1 Promotion
• 1 applicant for Class 1 Refresher
• 1 applicant for Class 2 Promotion
• 11 applicants for Class 3 Qualification
• 1 applicant for Class 3 Refresher

Participants need to successfully pass the examination on British Taekwondo Poomsae Competition Rules for Recognised Poomsae. Those in Class 1 also need to demonstrate knowledge of British Taekwondo Freestyle Poomsae Rules. All classes completed a practical examination, which included performing three compulsory poomsae, executing referee hand signals, and passing poomsae scoring tests.
