Athletes from Ultimate Taekwondo recently competed in Slovenia.

Team Ultimate achieved medal success at the recent Slovenia Open G1 International Taekwondo Tournament in Ljubljana. Three players from Team Ultimate competed and all three won medals.

Congratulations go to:

• Tianna Klaric who won Gold in the Junior Female -59 category.
• Owen Blunt who achieved a Bronze medal in the Junior Male -51 category.
• Rhys Turner who earned a Bronze in the Junior Male -63 category.

Tianna won four matches against strong opponents to take the gold. Owen and Rhys both won two matches and narrowly lost in the semi finals to the eventual gold medallists.

Team Ultimate Coach Kathy Hook said “I am very proud of Tianna, Owen and Rhys’s achievements and believe it’s a great start to a successful year for these three athletes who all have their sights on representing Great Britain in the European Championships later in the year.”
