About the Programme
Taekwondo Tots is for British Taekwondo coaches that are already teaching young children or who would like to in the future.
This is your opportunity to refresh your current pre-taekwondo programme or develop a new offering that will automatically feed new students into your current classes.
If you have ever thought about starting a class for this age group before but don’t know where to start, this programme will give you everything you need
Benefits for Instructors
· Deliver under your British Taekwondo Instructor Indemnity: Interested instructors will be required to set up a special, non-contact introductory Taekwondo club, separate from your other club sessions. Access will then be granted to the £10 annual Tots membership, that will wrap around the British Taekwondo coach indemnity insurance.
· Grow your club: Opportunity to recruit and retain more children by utilizing a more child centred approach to coaching that makes taekwondo fun.
· Governing Body Accredited Programme: Fully accredited programme supported by session plans, reward & recognition scheme, marketing tools and official programme products.
· Community Impact: Make a difference by inspiring young children to get active and stay active, increasing positive developmental outcomes.
· Diversify Income Streams: Add additional sources to increase income, building stability and create opportunities for growth
Coach Education and Resources
The coach education part of the programme includes interactive content, templates and ‘done for you’ documents that will provide all you need to introduce or improve your own 3 to 7 years old programme.
With a focus on long term retention, this programme harnesses the fundamentals of child centred coaching and Physical Literacy to help children develop the motivation to be active for life. As such, this programme will focus on developing your understanding of the children’s wants and needs and how this knowledge can be used to increase motivation and development in your classes.
A suite of programme resources, equipment and marketing materials will also be available via the Taekwondo Tots Member portal.
Who is Tots Membership for?
The Tots membership is an annual £10 membership for new children aged 3 to 7 year olds, which is specific for non-contact introductory Taekwondo.
This membership is not accessible for any 9th Kup or above.
Students of 8 years and over, or that have graded will need a standard membership.

There are 2 packages available to coaches wishing to deliver the Taekwondo Tots Programme. All provide access to the £10 annual Tots membership
Your Next Steps
The Taekwondo Tots programme is to be delivered as a separate, specific non-contact, pre-Taekwondo session.
To support the delivery of the pre-taekwondo opportunity, a £10 (annual) membership is available that wraps around the British Taekwondo indemnity insurance, allowing coaches to deliver under their current insurance.
A separate club must be set-up to access this membership.
