This free life-saving eLearning course from UK Coaching is packed with immersive and scenario-based learning, practical information and tips to help you respond quickly and appropriately to a sudden cardiac arrest.
The British Heart Foundation defines a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) as ‘when your heart suddenly stops pumping blood around your body.’ This causes the brain to be starved of oxygen, and for the individual to fall unconscious and stop breathing.
SCA can happen at anytime to anyone, even t0 active and healthy people. Over 60,000 people have a SCA every year within the UK and 12 of these per week are under the age of 35.
If those around know how to help and action is taken within the first minute, it can triple the chances of recovery and survival.
UK Coaching has joined with Sport England, Resuscitation Council UK, St Johns Ambulance and Joe Humphries Memorial Trust to create a FREE digital toolkit which includes an award-winning interactive eLearning course.
