When we speak about safeguarding, we tend to focus on safeguarding children, however safeguarding refers to measures designed to protect the health, wellbeing, and human rights of all individuals.

All clubs who teach Taekwondo to adults should have an adult safeguarding policy in place. You should ensure all your committee members, leaders, coaches, and members understand the foundations of implementing the policy and how to spot and act upon concerns.

Safeguarding Adults in Sport – Setting Club Standards eLearning course

The Ann Craft Trust are currently offering the Safeguarding Adults in Sport – Setting Club Standards e-Learning course for just £10. This course consists of one in-depth module and is suitable for Welfare Officers.

This course covers the essential criteria for setting out policy, practice and procedures in a club environment in England. The content includes legislative information in England, and it also offers further links to information pertaining to legislation and governance for all four nations.
