Harrogate’s K.R.Ali Taekwondo Academy is celebrating the success of its 4th Lanarkshire Open Poomsae Championships, held at Wishaw Sports Centre in Wishaw, Scotland on Saturday 9th March.
British Taekwondo members contested titles in individual, pairs, para-poomsae, and teams categories at the competition.
Event organiser Master Kambiz R Ali and his team from Harrogate were delighted to be assisted by his close friend Master Atief Arshad and his team from Momentum Taekwondo Academy.
The teams from Harrogate KTA and Momentum Taekwondo Academy have successfully delivered the competition in Wishaw since its debut back in January 2019.
In the latest edition of the event the organisers were delighted to welcome over 100 competitors from across Scotland and England.
Speaking about the success of the event, Competition Director Master Kambiz said “I would like to thank all our colleagues and volunteers who helped us run this event for its fourth edition in Wishaw, our Referee Director Grandmaster Bailey did a brilliant job, as did all the event’s Poomsae officials who worked hard and diligently to judge score the performances of the participants.”
Kambiz added “I must also thank my competition IT & Management team from Harrogate for all their hard work and support and also my dear Master Atief Arshad and all the volunteers from Scotland for all their assistance running the competition and helping us to continue this competition series in Scotland. This event wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and support of our judging officials and volunteers. Finally I would like to thank all those who attended and took part, or spectated at the 4th Lanarkshire Open, I hope you have all enjoyed the competition and hope to see you all next year the 5th edition!”
