Congratulations to Oxfordshire family run Phoenix Taekwondo club which has recently been awarded the 2024/2025 Sporting Achievement Award at the annual Oxfordshire Didcot Town Council Awards. Out of many original local nominations, Phoenix was shortlisted among three other local sporting groups with the winners announced on Saturday 15th March at the award ceremony at Didcot Civic Hall, hosted by the Mayor of Didcot. With the shortlist fully unaware of the winning group until it was actually announced live on the night, the Phoenix instructor team were ecstatic when the club was named as the 2024/2025 Winners!
The club’s win was in recognition of the contribution made within the local community and the competition success the club has enjoyed over the past year. Whilst the instructor team received Award Certificates and a lovely glass trophy plaque from the Lord Mayor of Didcot on the night, this is an award to be shared by everyone at the club because it is the students that have made this happen and the recognition reflects the hard work and commitment from everyone at all levels, including the parents who continually support!
