British Taekwondo is proud to announce the athletes selected to represent Great Britain at two major upcoming competitions: the 2025 Cadet European Taekwondo Championships in Athens, Greece (6–8 November) and the U21 European Championships in Kosovo (11–14 December).
These squads feature some of the country’s most talented and hard-working young athletes. This includes the likes of Luis Harrison, Josh Sherratt, Gabby Pettigrew, Nyah Cannon and Henry Hunter, who all competed the 2025 Cadet World Championships team in Fujairah.
Sherratt heads back to the European stage having excelled in the same competition last year, finishing with a silver medal from the 2024 competition after a superb showing in Tirana.
The squads also feature athletes who have recently competed at the European Youth Olympic Festival with Team GB, with Max Cartwright and Lily Kingsley both representing their country in Skopje, Macedonia last month. Kingsley will be looking to emulate her strong showing in the U21 competition last year, where she valiantly reached the quarter-finals at the age of 16.
We are also pleased to support athletes who qualified quota spots earlier this year, with two strong squads set to compete later this year in the hope of earning medals on the international stage.
These competitions represent a huge opportunity for British athletes to continue their pathway into competing at the highest level possible, and it is testament to the hard work of the Sports Performance Department that British Taekwondo are able to field such a strong line up for both events.
If you or your business are interested in supporting our athletes through sponsorship, please get in touch at Squad.Sportperformance@Britishtaekwondo.org – your backing helps fuel the future of British Taekwondo.
