The British Taekwondo Poomsae Department proudly participated in the World Taekwondo 2025 Poomsae MNA Workshop earlier this month, with participants travelling from across the globe to the event at the iconic Taekwondowon in Muji, South Korea.
The three-day landmark event brought together representatives from several member nations and continental unions for the first time in Taekwondo history.
Under the leadership of Referee Chairman Dr. Yoon, this workshop created a unified and standardised Poomsae scoring system, ensuring fairness, consistency, and transparency across all competitions worldwide.
Masters Bilal Naqshbandi and Carolina Barros Clark were honoured to represent British Taekwondo and take part in this historic initiative, which sets the stage for a new era in Taekwondo officiating.
The knowledge and insights gained will help strengthen our referee community and improve training methods, supporting World Taekwondo’s mission of integrity, inclusivity, and excellence.
