British Taekwondo events are the places where passion, progress, and community come together to truly sustain and grow our sport from the ground up.

These events provide a vital platform for developing athletes, giving members the chance to test their skills, gain experience, and build confidence in a supportive and friendly environment. They’re also a celebration of the hard work and dedication that coaches, volunteers, referees, and families invest week in and week out to keep their clubs thriving.

Each event strengthens the fabric of our Taekwondo community; bringing clubs together, fostering friendships, and creating memories that last a lifetime. These are the people and places that make British Taekwondo so special. Every event, no matter its size, contributes to the bigger picture, inspires the next generation, promotes inclusivity, and keeps our sport vibrant across the UK.

In 2026, we have over 30 club events scheduled throughout the year, while British Taekwondo looks forward to hosting the G-1 British International Open at the National Cycling Centre, Manchester on April 25-26.

Following on from the success of 2025, this event welcomes hundreds of athletes from across the globe to compete in World Taekwondo-sanctioned divisions, with some of the World’s biggest names set to return to Manchester once again in 2026.

The National Kyorugi Championships are scheduled to take place at the now familiar home of EIS Sheffield on the weekend of 3-4th October, while the National Poomsae Championships will follow a month later, as we make our annual pilgrimage to the David Ross Sports Village to celebrate our Poomsae community on 7-8th November.

Another of the biggest events of the year lands on 2–3 May in London, where the London Open is set to stage a G-1 event, G-2 event for para entries, as well as the G-3 ranked President’s Cup, marking a major milestone for Poomsae in the UK and reflecting the rising prominence of our community within the global sporting scene.

As well as Kyorugi and Poomsae events, British Taekwondo also hosts Seminars, Development Camps and National Dan Grading events throughout the year, with our members offered the platform to perform on the highest stage regularly throughout the year.
