The British Taekwondo National Championships are taking place at the EIS Sheffield on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September, spectator tickets are now on sale.
This years’ event will take place at the English Institute of Sport (EIS) in Sheffield and is open to all categories, age groups and abilities.
Almost 1,000 athletes have registered for the two-day national event, the largest field of competitors in a British Taekwondo event in its 40-year history.
Ian Leafe, Chief Executive Officer of British Taekwondo said, “I’m thrilled that we have been able to build on the success of the limited return to action last year and that our British Sport Taekwondo Championships are back to its full two-day format this year.”
“We have seen the combat sport competition circuit come back strongly in 2022 and we are looking forward to a bumper National Championships event featuring Advanced and Novice competition days and almost 1,000 athletes competing. This will be the biggest national championship in British Taekwondo’s 40-year history.”
British Champions will be crowned in a range of categories including Pee-Wees, Children, Cadets, Juniors, Seniors and Veterans.
A total of 968 athletes from 87 clubs will be competing for titles in the six categories.
547 Advanced level athletes will be competing on Saturday 24th September, with 421 Novice athletes in action on Sunday 25th September.

The British Taekwondo National Championships will be attended by athletes, coaches and supporters from 87 clubs and are underpinned by a dedicated group of volunteer officials.
