British Taekwondo is delighted to confirm that the 2025 British Taekwondo International Open will take place on 22nd and 23rd of March 2025 at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester.

Senior (G1) divisions will take place on Saturday 22nd of March.

Junior and Cadet (E1) divisions will take place on Sunday 23rd of March.

Benefits to British athletes

Hosting a G-class kyorugi event in the UK is a key part of the British Taekwondo strategy to provide its competitive kyorugi members with a high level competition, without the need to travel abroad.

The tournament will see a return to Manchester as the home of international Taekwondo in the UK, following the previous British Open in 2023 which also took place at the National Cycling Centre.

Partnership approach

This event has been made possible with the support of Manchester City Council and Manchester Active whose longstanding support for Taekwondo has seen the world biggest events come to the city, along with the creation of the National Taekwondo Centre.

British Taekwondo has also consulted with GB Taekwondo to ensure the tournament date provides maximum benefit to athletes who will look to attain ranking points for qualification to other World Taekwondo events in 2025.

Entry information

The entry pack and full entry details will published in the coming days.  All registrations must be made through the World Taekwondo registration system, Simply Compete.

All athletes will require a Global Athlete Licence and all coaches will require a Global Official Licence, and World Taekwondo coaching certificate.
