I am really looking forward to experiencing my first British Taekwondo National Kyorugi Championships as CEO this weekend, and seeing our Kyorugi community come together in Manchester for what promises to be a fantastic celebration of Taekwondo .
The National Championships are a special moment in the British Taekwondo calendar, bringing together athletes, coaches, clubs, families, officials and supporters from across the country.
For me, what makes the weekend particularly special is the journey behind every athlete who steps onto the mat, and the commitment of the coaches, instructors, clubs and families who support them along the way. Grassroots sports clubs provide the foundations for people to develop their skills, confidence and passion, and your dedication plays such an important role in creating those opportunities.
I am looking forward to an inspirational weekend that showcases the very best of our British Taekwondo Kyorugi community, and I also want to take the opportunity to thank our coaches and instructors for everything they do to make our sport and our organisation so special.
I wish all athletes the very best of luck for the competition across the weekend. I hope you have a fantastic Championships, enjoy the experience and create some great memories along the way.
I look forward to seeing you all in Manchester.
Dave Marshall
CEO, British Taekwondo
