Ultimate Taekwondo welcomed just under 300 players to Barnsley Metrodome on Sunday 7th June for a 1‑1 Sparring and Poomsae Event, with the British Taekwondo community coming together in Yorkshire for a day of incredible action.
The Sparring competition was a tremendous success with talented athletes from across the UK showcasing their skills in some outstanding matches, with those watching on providing an electric atmosphere and smiles all around throughout the day.
Sunday’s action also saw a grassroots trial of a 1‑1 Poomsae event, delivered in partnership with TusahReg, which also proved hugely successful. A total of 55 players took part across five categories, including para divisions.
British Taekwondo would like to say massive thank you to Ultimate Taekwondo and everyone involved with hosting an incredible event, as well as all the teams, coaches, players, referees and judges for your support, enthusiasm, and contribution to an unforgettable day.
The work you all do to keep our Martial Art thriving across the UK is incredible, and events like this are proof of what a special community we have.
