Summer Waheed World Taekwondo Classification

British Taekwondo members are invited to attend a dedicated International Out of Competition Para Classification, delivered by World Taekwondo international classifiers in London.

This International Classification of Para athletes in the P20, P30 and K40 divisions will take place between April 27 – May 1, 2026 at Lee Valley Athletics Centre and is being held in addition to the official classification ahead of the London Open Poomsae 2026 on May 2-3. You do not need to be competing at this event to be eligible for classification between April 27th and May 1st.

Venue: Lee Valley Athletic Centre, 61 Meridian Way, Enfield, London N9 0AR

This exciting opportunity is open to any British Taekwondo member wishing to be registered on the World Taekwondo Classification System (WTCS). The classification system evaluates the impact of an eligible impairment on an athlete’s ability to execute specific tasks, activities, or movements that are fundamental to the sport.

This ensures that all athletes have an equal opportunity to compete and perform at their best, and helps in understanding the eligibility of an athlete’s impairment and the underlying health condition, which is crucial for the classification process.

Medical Diagnostic Forms (MDF) must be submitted for any new or review ( Review R-NAO and R-FRD) athlete registered on the WTCS. The details on each sport class can be found in the WT Athlete Classification Rules on the WT website.

Click the link below to register through My Club Hub. Once registered, please fill out your relevant MDF and submit to our Inclusion Officer Keira Forsythe at disability@britishtaekwondo.org along with which day you would like to attend.

The deadline for sending British Taekwondo the MDFs is 23:59 on April 20, 2026. If no MDF has been submitted by this time the athlete will not be called for classification.

Please note: All athletes in the WTCS will require a WT License Number (GAL).
