World Taekwondo Grand Prix III, Manchester 2022.

Manchester hosted the Champions of Taekwondo at the World Taekwondo Grand Prix III from 20-23 October 2022.

Hot off the back of the European Taekwondo and Para Taekwondo Championships in May, over 400 athletes from over 50 nations competed at the Manchester Regional Arena over four thrilling days of action. The UK event was hosted in partnership with UK Sport, Manchester City Council and British Taekwondo.

Launched in 2014, the World Taekwondo Grand Prix typically features three-to-four Grand Prix events followed by the Grand Prix Final. In 2022, Rome and Paris also host events before Manchester, with the Final scheduled for December 2022 in Wuxi, China.

World Grand Prix medallists Bradly Sinden, Jade Jones, Bianca Walkden and Lauren Williams all compete alongside their British Para Taekwondo teammates, Amy Truesdale and Beth Munro. With only the Top 31 world ranked athletes in each Olympic and Paralympic category invited to compete, the World Taekwondo Grand Prix was a hotly contested Championship where only the best of the best took to the court.
