Welfare Officers

Calling all British Taekwondo Club Welfare Officers! We need you to be part of the British International Open 2026.

British Taekwondo is seeking committed Club Welfare Officers to support not only our athletes and coaches, but also spectators and families at one of the most exciting events in the competition calendar.

The British International Open is set to take place at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester on April 25-26, and we would like our Club Welfare Officers to help ensure everyone has the best possible experience at one of the biggest kyorugi events in the UK this year.

This is your opportunity to play a vital safeguarding role at a major international event, while experiencing the energy and intensity of elite-level competition.

This opportunity is only available to registered British Taekwondo Club Welfare Officers, so please ensure your Club Welfare Officer licence is up to date on My Club Hub before registering your interest. Click here to learn more about Club Welfare Officer requirements.

Welfare Officers will be required for athlete weigh-in on Friday 24th April up until the competition ends on Sunday 26th April, and must be professional, approachable, and committed to safeguarding excellence.

Free parking, hot meals and refreshments will be supplied onsite

If this is something that you would like to be involved in, fill out the form below to register your interest before 23:59 on Friday 17th April 2026. If you have any questions regarding Club Welfare Officers, please contact our Safeguarding team on safeguarding@britishtaekwondo.org

Together, let's deliver a safe, supportive and world-class competition experience for everyone involved.
