Building the Future of Modern Taekwondo in the UK

British Taekwondo is on a journey to become a world-leading National Governing Body. A cornerstone of this ambition is a modern, inclusive, and safe Coach Education Pathway that empowers coaches to deliver Taekwondo at the highest standards.

We are proud to align with CIMSPA, supporting the UK's national framework for professional recognition and workforce governance in sport and physical activity. British Taekwondo is also proud to be the only recognised 1st4Sport Technical Partner in the discipline of Taekwondo and Martial Arts.

By investing in the development of knowledgeable and skilled coaches, the organisation builds a strong foundation for long-term athlete progression and well-being.

Well-trained coaches understand the technical, tactical, and physical demands of the sport, allowing them to better support their students' growth and performance.

Beyond technical knowledge, coach education also promotes important values such as inclusivity, safeguarding, and mental well-being. British Taekwondo is committed to creating positive training environments that are respectful, supportive, and aligned with best practices in sport.

Educated coaches are better equipped to manage diverse groups, handle challenging situations, and ensure that all participants – from grassroots to elite – have a positive and safe experience in the sport.
