British International Open 2026
British Taekwondo is delighted to confirm the return of the British International Open in 2026, with the flagship event scheduled for Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April 2026 at Manchester’s iconic National Cycling Centre, in partnership with Manchester Active and GB Taekwondo.
Following on from the success of 2025, this G-1 event welcomes hundreds of athletes from across the globe to compete in World Taekwondo-sanctioned divisions, with some of the World’s biggest names set to return to Manchester once again in 2026.
Athletes aged under 18 will compete in the Junior & Cadet age groups across ten different weight categories, and will be hoping to earn important European ranking points. All information for the weekend’s action will be available via the left-hand menu.

All official documents including the entry pack, drawsheet and results will be published on the British Taekwondo website. Any information published in any other location cannot be guaranteed as official.

Official documents will not be emailed directly to instructors, but instructors will receive a direct email from British Taekwondo when the documents are available on the website. This is to limit and issues around email delivery with attachments, incorrect email addresses and other fail-to-deliver issues.
- During the competition, British Taekwondo will use the event WhatsApp channel to communicate live updates such as court changes, changes to the schedule and other ‘live’ information. These updates will also be shared on British Taekwondo social channels where appropriate. These updates will not be shared on the British Taekwondo website due to the number and frequency of updates.
Housekeeping
- Coaches require photo ID to collect their accreditation
- Coaches can only collect their own accreditation
- Athletes require photo ID for weigh in
- Accreditation/ passes must be with you at all times
- Tickets can be bought in advance and on the day, all tickets are digital and must be bought online
- We are a cashless event
- Matches will not be held up if athletes/coaches are late
- Regular event updates will be communicated through the British Taekwondo WhatsApp Channel
- For quicker entry, have accreditation/tickets out ready to be checked and scanned
- There will be limited parking available on Sunday due to other events in the area (check out Sheffield’s park and ride/tram systems)
- Athletes and coaches – please ensure you arrive at the event in plenty of time to get in, warm up and be on court for your allocated matches
