Five British Taekwondo members have qualified as International Kyorugi Referees.

Congratulations to Robyn Lewsley, Holly Boardman, Sharon Boardman, Thomas Inglis Potts, and Adam Stamp for successfully completing the International Kyorugi (Sport) Referee course in Manchester.

Commenting on the 127th WT Kyorugi IR Seminar Paul Timms, Chair of British Taekwondo’s Sport Referee Department said “I am immensely proud of the commitment and hard work these five brand new Internationally qualified referees have demonstrated. The limelight is theirs and rightly so, they deserve it.”

“I cannot personally take any credit for their success because that began a long time before I took up this role, but I have been fortunate enough to hold a shared part in their journeys and am therefore elated that they not only chose to pursue this level but succeeded in reaching it.”

“It only goes to cement the future aim of British Taekwondo’s Sport Referee Department to upskill and increase the overall number of British officials, five is the greatest number of IR’s British Taekwondo has ever qualified in a single course or year.”

“Enjoy the moment, work hard internationally and go fulfil your dreams and goals. And for those officials that aspire to become IR’s, there is plenty of room for you to join our exclusive club.”
