DESCRIPTION:We have two spaces available for the Time to Listen course for Welfare Officers on Thursday 21st September. The online session will take place from 6pm until 9pm. \nTime to Listen has recently transitioned to UK Coaching and was developed in partnership with the NSPCC and CPSU. \nThis interactive\, face-to-face\, tutor-led workshop will give you an essential understanding of what is required of Welfare Officers who are responsible for managing and reporting concerns about children within their club\, and for putting into place procedures to safeguard children\, ensuring that you have the practical knowledge required to take a child-focused approach and excel in the role. \nThe course has been awarded 1.5 CPD points by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA). \nPlease note: British Taekwondo Members attending the Time To Listen course must have already completed NSPCC Child Protection in Sport and Physical Activity training or the UK Coaching Safeguarding & Protecting Children training prior to attending the Time to Listen course. \nThe cost to attend the course is £30. \nIt will be mandatory for all British Taekwondo member clubs who teach under 18s to have a Club Welfare Officer in place by June 2024.
