World Taekwondo’s 50th anniversary

World Taekwondo was established on the 28th May 1973.
World Taekwondo (WT), the International Federation governing Taekwondo, leads an inclusive and accessible combat sport. World Taekwondo is a member of the Association of Summer Olympic International Federations (ASOIF) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC). World Taekwondo forges the traditional foundations of South Korean heritage with elite sport.
World Taekwondo’s vision is ‘Taekwondo for All’; aiming to grow Taekwondo worldwide from grass roots to the elite providing opportunities to train and enjoy Taekwondo inclusively.
